Spring is here and is a wonderful time of year to tie the knot. Flowers are blooming, new life is emerging, and it has finally warmed up, making this time of year a popular one for weddings. But this season can also present a few challenges for brides as they plan their nuptials.
So here’s a few seasonal considerations to ensure your special day goes off without a hitch!
April showers bring May flowers. The likelihood of rain can still be reasonably high in spring. Make sure you’re not left without a Plan B if you’ve decided to have your wedding ceremony or pictures taken outside. What are your alternative options? Does your venue have a secondary space they will allow you to use if bad weather hits? Check with your wedding planner to make sure you’re covered!
Things are heating up in here. You’ve waved goodbye to winter and embraced the warmer temperatures of spring, but does your wedding party’s attire reflect that? Lighter materials and shorter lengths will keep your bridesmaids and groomsmen cool and comfortable throughout the entire day. These options also pair well with the pastel color themes typically associated with spring weddings.
No sneezing, please. Don’t let pollen get in the way of your special day! With one of the biggest allergy seasons underway, make sure to keep medicine on hand and easily accessible for anyone in your wedding party that has springtime allergies. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your attendants are healthy and well.
Time to freshen up. Make sure you and your bridesmaid’s makeup remains fresh all day long. The photo opportunities will be many, and smudging, fading or shining just won’t do. Ask your makeup artist ahead of time for suggestions on long-lasting and/or reapplication options.
